Computer Clocks
Pixelthis makes some amazing clocks from a variety of recycled sources like hard drives, turntables, computer covers, bike gears and chains, and even a bike wheel! They don’t seem to be good for knowing the exact time, but they do look lovely:
He has a thing for Apple (as do we all) and currently has a Mac G4 Side Cover Clock and an Apple G4 Front Cover Clock at his Etsy store. Check out the engineered awesomeness!
Gorgeous Zelda Cosplay
Some really gorgeous Zelda cosplay from Youmacon 2009, made even more fantastical and unearthly by carianoff’s great photography. Check out some other shots:
Resplendent! Check out more of his photography of Youmacon 2009 on flickr.
Amigurumi Heroes
They’re dubbed the “Crosheiders,” but the Superhero Team-Amigurumi Crochet Pattern by stripeyblue ($5.99) resembles a particular Bandai team of heroes who also wore brightly colored spandex. However, this crochet pattern will create a team that’s 100 times more adorable! I love their cute, sassy little poses:

Gamer Baby Blankets
Ensure that your lil’ bundle of joy grows up geek with video-gamed themed baby blankets made by punzie. I love their pixelated, graphic quality, and would have adored them as a kid!
Check out more blankets and pillows at punzie’s shop on Etsy.
Circuit Board Chic
I’ve always loved the look of circuit boards: my dad would give me his old ones and I’d pretend they were little cities. Debby Arem Designs on DaWanda makes circuit boards crafty with some great jewelry and home/office products made from recycled components. They’re a great connection of tech and art, and look good doing it too:

Yetis of Etsy
When I was searching for monsters on Etsy, I noticed that there were a great deal of Yetis. Round yetis, tall yetis, bunny yetis, yetis with mustaches…even a zombie yeti! I can see the Yeti appeal: they’re soft, cuddly, and very mysterious. And who can resist Yetis when they look like this cute! See the yetis after the break:
Monsters on the Brain
Even after featuring Etsy’s monster shops, I’ve only scratched the surface of the monster-y goodness that exists on the web, and I can’t help but look for more! So the “Monsters in My Cortex” T-shirt by Jean Jullien ($25.00) is eerily apt. Add a little more humor with the Grr Arg Monster Necklace by Finest Imaginary (£6.99) and you’ve got yourself a monster-loving outfit!
How To: Make Companion Cube Boxes
Companion Cube papercrafts have swept the internet since Portal first came out, but I really love these cute DIY boxes from the Anli and Laura wedding. They’re super simple to make and are great for favors and gifts. The downloadable Companion Cube Papercraft by Moony serves as a template, and Anli and Laura have provided DIY instructions on Flickr. So go check it out and make a cube of your own!
Anli and Laura’s Gamer Wedding
Recently Offbeat Bride featured the wedding of Anli and Laura, who themed their celebration around Portal and Revolutionary Girl Utena. There were tons of awesome geeky details, like the Portal Companion Cube cake, the Companion Cube bon bon boxes, and Utena figurines. They also posed with beautifully decorated Nintendo DSes! All around awesomeness.
